This is a boys name that I have only heard once and it came from the Oprah show. She was doing a show on mail order brides and one of the girls on the show came from the Ukraine and was a mail order bride to a man in Manhattan. They took cameras back to her home in the Ukraine and was talking to her mom and brother and her brother's name was Valek, I fell in love with the name right then and there. I think it is extremely creative and has a great sound to it. It's just Alec with V on the front, why didn't I think of that? It's genius :-)
