Melania Trump chose to forgo a tea gathering between the incoming and departing First Ladies despite being invited by Joe and Jill Biden.
CNN confirmed the meeting will not take place through its sources after the Daily Mail reported the incident.
Melania's husband Donald Trump, the President-elect, will meet with President Biden on Wednesday at the White House. This meeting is intended to represent a peaceful transition of power. The First Ladies usually have tea at the residence while the Presidents are in the Oval Office.
