Telling the anecdote of 'Naya Daur', Madhur Bhushan said, 'My father wanted BR Chopra to shoot the film in the hilly area of Gwalior. Actually some women were assaulted there a few days before the shooting. My father wanted Madhubala to be safe. My father was upset that Dilip Kumar took the side of BR Chopra in this case and he filed a case against us. Madhubala wanted Dilip sahib to apologize to our father.

When Madhubala was ill and admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, Dilip Kumar went to meet her. Dilip had told Madhubala that they would work together again. Till then Dileep was not married. But after getting married, Dilip Kumar and Madhubala never met again.
