Answer to Your all IAS Related Questions : Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam is considered to be one of the toughest exams in India. Every year lakhs of students give UPSC exam in the country, but very few students get success. Only after passing this exam is the selection on IAS, IPS, IES or IFS officer. 1. What type of questions are asked in IAS exam?
The Civil Services Examination conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission is considered to be one of the toughest examinations. On the basis of the selected paper, questions are asked in the written examination and any type of questions can be asked in the interview.

3. Is 3 years sufficient for IAS preparation?
Many people believe that three years is enough to prepare for the IAS exam. At the same time, some people get success in the first attempt itself. 4. What if I fail in IAS interview?

5. Is IAS interview tough?

6. What is the salary of IAS?
According to the 7th Pay Commission, an IAS officer gets a basic salary of Rs 56100. Apart from this, they are also given many other allowances including traveling allowance and dearness allowance. According to the reports, the IAS officer gets a total salary of more than Rs 1 lakh per month. The IAS with the rank of Cabinet Secretary gets a salary of about 2.5 lakh rupees per month (IAS Salary).

7. What rank is required for IAS?
There are 24 services in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), for which candidates are selected through UPSC exam. These are divided into two categories. The first is the All India Services and the second is the Central Services, which consists of Group A and Group B services. Posts are given on the basis of rank.

8. How many IAS are selected every year?
Every year 180 candidates are selected in the Indian Administrative Services. However, the recruitment may be increased or decreased depending on the increasing or decreasing number of vacancies of other services, it is decided by UPSC.

9. What is the age limit for IAS exam
The age of the candidates appearing in the UPSC exam is between 21 years to 32 years. On the other hand, the candidates belonging to backward classes are given relaxation in this. Candidates between 21 years to 35 years can appear in this exam.

10. Which is the lowest post in IAS?
There are continuous training programs in the first year of recruitment of IAS officers. After this they are assigned a sub-division. Initially, IAS officers are appointed in posts like Sub Divisional Officer (SDO), Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Chief Development Officer (CDO). After working every two years, they are transferred from one district to another. At the same time, for training as Under Secretary, the Secretariat is sent for 18 months. After this the IAS officer gets appointment to the post of District Magistrate, District Collector, Deputy Commissioner (DC) or Divisional Commissioner i.e. Divisional or Divisional Commissioner. However, IAS officer can also be appointed in any autonomous organization, public sector undertaking, international organizations like World Bank, Asian Development Bank. At the same time, he also serves as the secretary to the Union Minister.

11. How many holidays do IAS get?
An IAS officer can go abroad for leave and he also has the right to apply for leave for travel. But they have to follow the rules of the government for this. Talk about how many holidays an IAS officer gets in a year, then the government has allocated normal leave for civil servants like other employees.
